First of all, you’ll need to know what Lucid dreaming is all about before getting to know what this special device, the Lucid Dream Machine is meant for. Lucid Dreaming sounds little abstract for most of us and kind of hard to figure out.

Lucid dreaming is when you’re sleeping, but you’re aware that you’re asleep and dreaming, but you don’t wake up. But this mysterious state will give you full control of your dream. Lets say you can control what you want in your dream, who shall appear and who shall not or you can create whatever you want in your dream, be like a God.
Here comes the Lucid Dream Machine, which is a pair of glasses that you wear while you’re sleeping. After about 4 hours that you’re into your sleep, the device will then pulse the LEDs, which will shine through your eye lids. From that one, the flashing lights will get you partially awake or semi-conscious of what you’re dreaming and sleeping, so you will most likely be able to take control of your dream. Such as altering the ending, getting the villain killed, creating as many happy endings as you can.

Karaoke was introduced by Japanese to this world. So they’re definitely more keen on singing karaoke than any others living outside of Japan. The Japanese have continuously made some improvements to their Karaoke system, and the result of today is a super mini and portable karaoke system that you can bring along anywhere you go, and sing along.

This portable Karaoke system is from Takara Tomy, which is a little square, measures a mere 7 cm. It’s equipped with an 2.4-inch display, weighs less than a pound. And amazingly, it’s a fully functioning Karaoke system. You can pick songs from its list, and you’ll have two options of adding more songs to it, which downloading from the Internet, or buying a cartridge that costs you $40.
In fact, Karaoke isn’t a cheap activity and there is no difference for this portable karaoke machine. This mini system comes with a headphone and it’s got a speaker built-in that will blast the tunes aloud. The little device will hit stores in October and retail for a price of $100. It’s definitely a handy device for those who always lose the possession of the microphone once going for a group karaoke session. Having this little system, you can sing anytime you feel like, but be sure you don’t create too much “noise” for your neighborhoods!

When you’ve fallen in love with machinery you’d love to have some gadgets that expose you with various gears and nuts to sit on your work desk.

This Machine time clock is a functional timepiece that is shaped like a silver gear wheel, which shall look pretty impressive for the mechanical geeks. The clock exposes the gear wheel which makes it so interesting to watch at the slowly moving gear.
Telling time seems to be difficult on this clock. By looking at the picture attached above, it seems hard for me to figure out where the hour and minute hands are. Anyway, this clock is said to be built with torque mechanism from Japan which is highly accurate that gives a daily error of 2 seconds only. It’s claimed to be a highly reliable and accurate clock but those gears seem not to be my type.

Microsoft had ever talked about that they were going to look into making some kitchen appliances. A coffee machine shall belong to this category, and it seems like they already have some coffee machines out there running Windows XP as the operating system.

The coffee machine that we’re talking about here comes equipped with a touchscreen and it is powered by Windows XP. So the question is why on Earth a coffee maker needs to be loaded with such complexity. Doesn’t it download the coffee-making or mixing methods from the Internet, as what some washing machines offer, download their washing programme from the Internet.
Well, this Windows XP-powered maker comes with an 8-inch touchscreen. It allows the users to remotely access it from the Internet. Lets say, if you have this coffee machine hooked up to your office’s or home’s WiFi/wired network, you can then remotely brew your cup of coffee, and when it’s done, then only you lift your butt up and grab the coffee from it.
Since, Microsoft will end Windows XP eventually, and they seem to have found a new line for the Windows XP to spend the rest of its life i.e. the coffee machine or maybe some kitchen appliances later.

Brother has produced a high-tech sewing machine, Quattro 6000D, which makes use of various technologies to help users to make the most precise sewing.
Apparently, as shown in the picture, the sewing machine comes equipped with a 4.5 x 7-inch Sharp HD LCD display, which allows the users to take every possible angle and to have a closer zoom and view of the piece under the needle.

The Quattro 6000D employs the Brother’s “InnovEye” and “Up-Close Viewer” technology, which has a camera placed next to the needle to give the user a bird-eye view on the LCD to allow perfect placement of stitching. Also equipped with runway lighting, making it highly usable even under a dim environment. Some more it has three USB ports, which I’m not too sure what the main purpose is. Perhaps, they’re useful for loading some tutorials or sewing programme onto this sewing machine.
