As it’s equipped with the DialogPlus voice control that makes most of its functionalities voice-operable. But you still get the option of operating it with your fingers on its highly-sensitive touchscreen interface when it fails to recognize your voice.

Belkin Powerline AV+ Starter Kit

Posted by hina on under Accessories, Computer Hardware | Comments are off for this article

Although WiFi is pretty common these days, but some paranoids are still kind of reluctant to setup WiFi, especially in their homes. Those paranoids are worried that the wireless signal will bring negative impact to health, so they would still prefer to fall back using wired solution.

Wired solution will always leave you with some internal wiring messiness. But now there is a pretty neat solution, by using powerline networking, which makes use of the electrical wiring in your home to serve as quasi-networking cable for transmitting network signals from one room to another room.
Belkin Powerline AV+ Starter Kit
Belkin has just rolled out a new product in the powerline networking category. The Belkin Powerline AV+ starter kit, consists of a three-port adapter that lets you hook up to multiple devices including your computer, A/V equipment and gaming console etc. And a one-port adapter that lets you hook up to an Internet router. And both these two adapters are plugged into any available wall power outlets. Voila, the devices that are hooked up to the three-port adapter can now share the Internet connection via the router that is hooked up to the one-port adapter.

The data transfer rate over the powerline using the Belkin kit is said to to be upwards of 200/Mbps. And it provides 128-bit AES link encryption with key management that keeps data well protected from hackers that could be eavesdropping over the electrical wires. The Belkin’s powerline kit is available in October and carries a price tag of $180.

Electronic drum kit T-shirt – drum on your chest

Posted by hina on November 9, 2009 under Accessories | Comments are off for this article

We’ve seen couple of the funny T-shirts before, from WiFi detector, to sound-activated, to personal soundtrack etc. And the latest we wanna show you here is the Drum Kit T-shirt.

The Electronic Drum kit T-shirt lets you play drum on your chest, just tap your chest with your fingers, you can then create various drum noises. You don’t need a pair of drum sticks to play the drum on your chest. Whenever you’ve heard some music beat near by, you can drum yourself up to play along with the beats.

It’s got a “drum set” sewn on the front of the T-shirt, which can play seven different drum sounds when you hit them with your fingers. There is also a built-in speaker with adjustable volume control that amplifies the sound. I believe this speaker is affixed in a hidden pocket that wouldn’t give too much trouble to the wearer. The T-shirt needs four AAA batteries for its power, which sounds little little too much to me.
