Everyday your surrounding creates lots of noise. Why not convert all the noises into usable energy to power your gadgets, lamp, TV etc. The Sonea unit is a conceptual device that can convert noise to energy for you to use.

This device should be best installed at super noisy environment such as construction sites that produce lots of noise everyday and the noise can be converted into energy to power those heavy machines used in construction.
The Sonea unit is able to convert each decibel of sound into 30 watts of power. The noise produced by an airplane taking off at the runway would be able to produce 240kW of power. Of course, the Sonea is just a conceptual device, and some more the figures are simply theoretical, it could result lots of losses in practical use.

The second generation of iPhone comes with 3G support which allows you to hook up to the Internet with super high-speed HSPA Internet connection. It’s a good idea to share your iPhone’s Internet connection to some of your computers nearby via WiFi.
PdaNet, developed by June Fabrics Technology, has been a popular application for Palm OS and Windows Mobiles-based devices, which turns them into a WiFi router that other computers and gadgets can share the Internet connection. Now, a latest version of this app has been made available for the Apple iPhone, but it’s only usable on a jail-broken iPhone.

Having the PdaNet installed on your jail-broken iPhone, the iPhone can then serve as a WiFi router which lets other computers and gadgets nearby to share its Internet connection via WiFi network.
Having your iPhone to serve as a WiFi Internet router surely drains the battery quickly. So, it’s recommended to charge the iPhone at the same time while it’s being used as a router. I guess the iPhone will get little hot too after it’s been used continuously for a couple of hours with tons of IP packets pumping through it.
