The cell phone makers are now in the race for the megapixels for their camerephones. Besides Samsung, Sony Ericsson has also jumped onto the bandwagon, having produced another 12-megapixel cameraphone – the Sony Ericsson Idou.

The 12-megapixel SE Idou phone was displayed at WMC 2009. This high-res cameraphone features a 12.1 megapixel sensor with Xenon Flash + auto focus, 3.5-inch touch screen with 640 x 320 resolution, GPS, a Micro M2 memory card slot, and runs Symbian OS. And the best is it’s equipped with few high-speed connectivities such as the Turbo 3G, that offers HSDPA or HSUPA, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The SE Idou phone is claimed to be built upon the philosophy of “Entertainment Unlimited”, offers lots of entertainment features which the company has combined from their two previous models – the Walkman and Cybershot phones. The phone offers 16:9 widescreen video clips playback, playing your favorite clips and TV series on this phone is excellent. The Symbian OS also allows the users to download lots of applications and contents from PlayNow online to make this phone more exciting.
