When you’re a famous phone maker like Sony Ericsson, it becomes a little tough to keep your newest products under wraps. The new kid on the block is the F305 motion gaming phone, which features a built-in accelerometer for motion sensing games.

Other notable features include a 176 x 220 resolution, a Memory Stick Micro slot, and a specially designed directional pad and two face buttons specially located for gaming purposes. While we’re pretty sure that its not going to be the rumoured Playstation Portable Phone, it certainly can’t fare any worse than the Nokia N-gage can it? The button layout certainly lends itself to ergonomic gaming, and we could be looking at some NES/Gameboy Color emulators in the very near future. After all, who could say no to some portable Contra on the go?

Windows Vista is the new wave of the future. Or so says Microsoft. For those who have made the leap from XP to Vista, some teething compatibility problems between software, hardware and the new Windows Operating System mean that early adopters are often left out in the cold.

Redesigned PSP 3000 Released, Better Screen, Built in Microphone

Posted by hina on under Accessories, Cell Phone, Computer Hardware, PDA Phone, Software | Comments are off for this article

Not a big deal was made of it, but just announced by Sony at their Leipzeg press conference is the PSP-3000. We’ll cut to the chase here, how exactly is the redesigned PSP-3000 better than its bigger brothers? Well, the answer is not very much.

The PSP-3000 will have no external redesign whatsoever and will look exactly like the PSP-2000. Whats changed under the hood is the presence of a screen that works better outdoors and apparently is able to resist glare, as well as a built-in microphone, something that will excite Skype users who will now be able to use their PSP as a Internet phone without any cumbersome addons.

If you asked me though, these added features are pretty underwhelming, what with all the hype of an internal hard disk, more ram, and a second analogue stick, that PSP fans had been speculating about before the official announcement.

What Sony is more likely to be after is the release of a PSP version with a more hacker-resistant motherboard, the last couple of versions were easily compromised by hackers and Sony will be looking to hold off the pirates with the newest release of the PSP-3000.

The PSP-3000 will be released in Europe on October 15th, and will be available in 8 different packages, each bundled with a different game.

So what do you think? Are these new features enough to make you buy a new PSP? Or is this minor redesign simply an attempt by Sony to make a quick buck?

The Eye-Fi is an Wireless SD memory card that adds Wi-Fi to any camera that supports SD memory card. It can automatically upload pictures from your digital camera to your PC or Mac and to your favorite photo sharing, printing, blogging or social networking site.
Eye-Fi: Add Wi-Fi To Digital Camera
The Eye-Fi is like any other SD card, except that there is some setup to do first. Once that is all done, the point of the Eye-Fi is to upload your photos while your camera is on and connected your wireless network to one of the many supported photo sharing services and/or your computer. It appears as though Eye-Fi is aiming to make repetitive card readings and fiddling with a USB cable things of the past.

Setting up the Eye-Fi is fairly simple but involves installing local software on your Mac/PC (no Linux support) which receives settings from an Eye.fi account you must create. The first step is plugging the Eye-Fi with its included SD card reader into your computer. From there, you find the appropriate installer for your OS then install and run it.
