Despite the release of Microsoft Vista and the possible release of Windows 7 in the distant future, many computer users still stick to the tested and stable version of Windows XP. Just last month, Microsoft announced that it will extend its support of Windows XP to 2014, a good news for the Windows XP fans. Since we are still stuck around with Windows XP for another half a decade, it makes sense to fine tune our current operating system for better performance. Unless you are satisfied with the annoying UAC function in Vista.

Perhaps you’d think most sat nav devices are the same, which there would be no classification between them, and the main purpose is to guide you to find your way out. But a sat nav device that simply shows the road map, the directions and where you should make turns etc, will not be sufficient for some bigger-size vehicles, such as a truck.
Truck is big vehicle, which will mostly get prohibited to dive into many routes in the city center. There might be certain road blocks, weak bridges or some roads have been marked with restrictions not to let those trucks enter. In such a case, truck drivers cannot simply depend on an average sat nav GPS device.

ProNav is a sat nav device that is specially designed for the truckers. The device will base around the size of the vehicle which tells those obstacles along your traveling path, such as those low bridges, narrow or restricted lanes that trucks are not advisable at all to go in. Having the ProNav installed in a truck, it’ll always ensure the truckers to get to the eligible routes, so they won’t stuck at those narrow lanes and illegal lanes, which will lead them to hit an accident or to get fined.
The key features of ProNav are as follows:
- Suits HGV’s, Vans, Caravans or Horse Transporters
- Dynamic navigation based on;
Vehicles dimensions (e.g. height & weight)
Legal restrictions (e.g. no trucks allowed)
Other warning data (e.g. cross winds)
London Loading Bays & Penalty Charge Hotspots
POI Data for Professional Drivers (e.g. HGV petrol stations)
- Seven Digit Postcode Routing
- Six Months Free Safety Camera Alerts
- Easily Switches to Regular Car Navigation
- Over 40,000 other points of interest (non HGV)

The Infrared tracker RC car is different from other remote controlled cars that you’ve been used to.
Instead of having the the controller to direct the car where it should head or turn to, this RC car needs to chase the visible Infra red dot that you project on the ground using the included remote. Controlling this car is just like driving it crazy, the poor RC car has to chase the moving Infra red dot until it gets completely drained out.

The car can sense the projected Infrared dot as far as 5 feet away. Once it’s detected the red dot, it will keep chasing until it’s exhausted with its battery. It’s powered by a 7.2V rechargeable battery, which can last for only 20 minutes or may last much shorter if you’re the expert who knows how to kill it as soon as possible.

Nissan has made the BR32C robot, which is equipped with technology to avoid car crashes.
They’ve carried out the test of the crash avoiding technology using the BR32C robot, and it’s reportedly to have run smoothly on this little bot.

The Nissan BR32C robot is inspired by bees, which I guess they make the robot to copy the bees’ instinct on how to avoid crashing on other moving or non moving objects surrounding them. Eventually, Nissan will bring this technology into their future cars.
If Nissan managed to get this technology into cars, it’d definitely save lots of lives on the road and greatly reduce the number of car accidents. Hope, it wouldn’t take too long for Nissan to complete this technology in cars, as we really need it to be safer on the road.

AirPod is an air-powered car, which many have commented that it looks little weird. To me, it looks kind of cute which surely attracts many eyes if you’re one driving this little car on the road.
The AirPod was built by MDI, and it’s powered by the MDI’s compressed air system that uses electricity to compress huge amounts of air in small tanks. The air is then slowly released from the tanks to drive those pistons of this car to get it moving.

The AirPod has three seats only, which one of them is facing backward. This car can reach a maximum speed of 40 miles per hour only and can stretch itself up to a range of 130 miles before going for the next refill. Refilling this car can be pretty quick by the use of aircar fueling station on the road or by having one inexpensive air compressor at home to fill up yourself, which might take you some times.
The maker hopes to bring this car into America for sale in 2010. And it’s been licensed for use in India and Europe by Tata Motors.

People tend to drink more during Christmas holiday season. If you don’t wanna frequent the police stations, it’s best that you carry your own check every time after a drinking party or before getting behind the wheels.

These days, we have lots of handy gadgets that you can easily take a quick check if you’ve exceeded the allowed alcohol level. The iBreath is one of them, an alcohol detector that needs you blow into it for at least 5 seconds. And it’ll show you the result 2 seconds later, whether you’re under the legal limit or not.
Furthermore, the iBreath doesn’t stop there only as a alcohol detector, it also doubles up as an FM tuner, which you can use it in your car for transmitting your tunes from your iPod to an FM tuner. So, you’ll find it useful other than only for checking alcohol level, and you’ll always leave it in your car.
