Sharp LE600 and LE700 – energy-efficient backlit LED TVs

Sharp has introduced their backlit LED technology for TVs, making them more energy-efficient and with improved image quality. The Sharp’s backlit LED TVs are said to consume 40 percent less power when compared to other LCD TVs.

The two new series of backlit LED televisions announced by Sharp are the LE600 and LE700. Both series have hundreds of LEDs placed behind them, which are meant for brighter and more vibrant images. And some more the two TVs are mercury free and have an eco-friendly performance.

The LE600 will have TVs ranging between 32 and 46 inches, come with 3 HDMI ports, but without USB port. While the LE700 will have screen sizes same as the LE600 plus a 52-inch model. The LE700 series come with 4 HDMI ports and a USB port that allows playback of MP3 and JPEG files on USB drives. They also have great response time of 4ms and 100 Hz refresh rate for better quality of moving pictures.

Other goodies on the two series backlit TVs are 1920 x 1080 resolutions, Sharp X-Gen panel, Mega contrast, brilliant color processing and the contrast ratio of 4,000:1. They are priced in the range of MSRP from $1,500 to $3,800.
