Sonic Lighter lets your iPhone play with fire

iPhone is no doubt the gadget that has the most software applications. From very complex applications to just a very simple game which is more than sufficient for you to kill some times – play with fire on your iPhone.

The Sonic Lighter is an application that is specially designed for iPhone, which allows you to play with a flame that is burning “hot” on the iPhone’s touchscreen. The Sonic Lighter works only on iPhone but not iPod Touch, as it makes use of the accelerometer and sound to let you control the flame shown on the iPhone display.

Simply flick the flints to light the flame. Turn the iPhone from side to side, the flame will react to your actions. The burning flame shows some cute reactions such as turning the iPhone too far will make it to “digitally” burn the side of the screen. You can also run your finger through the flame and it’ll react accordingly. When you’re fed up with it, just blow in to the microphone of your iPhone, and the flame will be put out.

The most amazing part is Sonic Lighter even makes the iPhone capable of igniting other iPhones that have the Sonic Lighter installed. The flame gives off a faint crackling sound through the iPhone’s speaker, when it’s put next to another iPhone with the Sonic Lighter app installed, it will light up the flame in the other iPhone. It does it through the receiving (or non-flaming) iPhone’s mic , which picks up the crackling noise to detect proximity of the flaming iPhone.

And another interesting feature is it shows you a world map of everyone who has lit up the flame in their iPhone. The Sonic Lighter was developed by Smule and can now be purchased from Apple App Store
